iTrax™ was designed to meet the challenges of PRO Audio users who are weary of traditional and unsafe methods used to store important project data on non RAID protected hard disk drives. Using the iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) protocol is what makes the iTrax™ so attractive because no additional hardware is required to connect to your computer. iTrax™ simply connects using an Ethernet connection with either Cat5e or Cat6 cabling which can also be accessed remotely through the Internet. iTrax™ is nonproprietary and easily migrates into existing environments. The iTrax™ is capable of recording and playing back up to 128 tracks @48khz-24bit audio with ProTools HD™. iTrax™ can simultaneously play back a QuickTime™ DV resolution movie imported into a 128 track count ProTools HD™ session. However, track counts may vary based on plug-in and automation use. Globalstor’s proven iSCSI technology and reliability with cost effective SATA II drive technology make this possible. Providing up to 6TB’s in a single 2U enclosure, the iTrax™ allows for seamless integration into existing infrastructures insuring structural rigidity, cooling, and hot-swap ability equal to that of an enterprise solution.
